Indian Hill Historical Society "Keeping Indian Hill's past and present alive for tomorrow" |
Historical Sites of Indian Hill This page will feature some of the sites that recall the earlier days of Indian Hill.
After the first settlement in 1795 the area was populated by farmers and millers whose
roads, homes, churches, and schools remain part of the Village today. These
"treasured landmarks" are an important part of America's vanishing landscape of
the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Each helps Indian Hill retain its rural
character and charm. Later, focus may also be directed toward examples of the large 1920's and 1930's estates of the Camargo Realty era. Come wander with us to one of following historic sites of Indian Hill:The Old Armstrong Chapel (1831) The Green Areas of Indian Hill Washington Heights School (Little Red Schoolhouse) (1873) The Carrier Pigeon - A WWII Saga |
