Today's History

Many people think of history as "old stuff" full of cobwebs, about deceased people and communities no longer viable. Wrong! History is also the who and what that is happening today!

Help the Society by sharing with our Resource Center (and, thus, with the present and future residents of Indian Hill) any photographs, genealogies, family trees, house/property research, video tapes, newspaper articles, and publications pertaining to the Village. Assist us in "leaving footprints" for the next generations to follow back into our time. Phone or e-mail the office, and we will be glad to archive any donation of appropriate Village information. Or, lend us your treasured copies of the above items so that we can make copies and return the originals to you.

Perhaps you could become one of our "photo historians!" (see Volunteer Needs) Take your camera to Village events, have double copies made of your pictures, and send them to us. (It would be helpful if you can identify persons and dates on photos.)

Mail us copies of news clippings regarding Indian Hill activities and residents. (For example, we may have missed an obituary that you noticed in a local publication this week.)

Closing down relatives' larger home as they downsize? Scrapbooks and photo albums from the attic can provide vital links to the story of Indian Hill and its families. Or, add old volumes regarding to local history to our Library shelves. Share with us!
