Some of the Village residents who have had an “inside” view of our baseball team (in the dugout and the front office) will share anecdotes of the Reds.

An elegant gourmet dinner will be served, accompanied by a melodic evening of beautiful music and lyrics. Dinner program.

The Board of Trustees will gather to “deck the halls” again this year. The Schoolhouse will be transformed into a holiday delight for December programs and rentals.

Village Christmas Party
Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, 3-5:00 p.m.

Step into a “Candyland” theme this year. Traditional homemade cookies, grog, and nog will be served. Musicians, mime, magician, balloon sculptor, and juggler mingle with the guests. The ice carver returns to the lawn, and Santa will arrive by horse and carriage. Bring the family!

This annual special gathering at one of the Village’s loveliest homes is a “thank you” to our 1873 Club and Patron members. Wine and hors d’oeuvres. By invitation.

One-Room Schoolhouse Experience
4th grade program – 2 weeks in Jan.-Feb.

The Little Red Schoolhouse

A favorite field trip for the last 13 years! Students come for a half-day of local history, and the “Three R’s,” taught by our historian/schoolmarm. Last year’s favorite activities were dip pen writing and recess games of marbles.

Old fashion valentine “Sweet Greetings” – A History of American Valentines
Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, 4:00 p.m.

Set a date with your favorite sweetheart or friend. Fall in love with the romantic Valentines of days gone by, and learn the origins of this special feast day. Candlelit dinner.

St. Patrick’s Party

The “wearin’ of the green” will be the order of the evening. Tap your feet to Irish dancers, hum along with Gaelic ballads. Dinner (Irish, of course!) will be served.

Join us for a leisurely afternoon tour of three Village homes – sure to be a delight to the eye. The finale will be a lavish hors d’oeuvres buffet served upon return to the Schoolhouse. Always a sell-out. Members only.
