Resources for Students and Teachers

From its beginnings the Indian Hill Historical Society has been identified with "The Little Red Schoolhouse" and with education. Its archives (Hauck Library and Resource Center) are open to anyone seeking information regarding the history of Indian Hill.

Students of the past

Educational outreach is a prime objective of the Society. The "One-Room Schoolhouse Experience" is a highly regarded school program aimed at local elementary school students. Junior and senior high school students are sought as student volunteers, and younger children can learn basic facts regarding local history at our Children's Page.

Speakers, slide shows, and video programs are available for group presentations. A number of topics are available: History of Indian Hill

The Green Areas of the Village
Gardens of Indian Hill
Barns of Indian Hill
The Homes on the Map of Camargo, 1928
19th Century One-Room Schoolhouse Education
Cemeteries
The Role of the Kroger Family in Indian Hill
The Artistic Legacy of the Fry Family
The 30th Anniversary Open House presentation of Historical Society events
The Robert Black Family

Given sufficient notice, additional requested topics will be considered/prepared by the staff for presentation to local clubs and organizations.
